Internal negotiations in the company publishing the freight

Updated 2 hours ago by Katarzyna

Who can use this feature?

The feature is available to users of the Trans.eu Platform product line Trans For Forwarders (TFF) and CargoON.

In this article you will learn:

  • how to enable internal negotiations in company settings,
  • who can negotiate within a single organization,
  • how to take over negotiations.

The internal negotiation feature allows employees of the same company to negotiate freights published by colleagues from other departments or branches.

It is designed for multi-branch companies and forwarding teams that want to exchange loads faster within the organization. The feature is particularly useful when the goal is to use your own fleet and reduce empty runs.

Activate internal negotiations

Internal negotiations are disabled by default.

To enable them:

  1. Click avatar, then Settings.
  2. Open the Freights section.
  3. Enable the Internal negotiations option (at the bottom of the section).

Only an employee with the administrator role can enable internal negotiations.
Changing the settings does not affect previously published freight offers.

Internal negotiation of a freight offer

After publishing the freight, the offer goes to the Freights module, Added tab. It is highlighted with the My company tag, which is visible both in the offer list and in the messenger.

Employees who are assigned to the offer as contact persons cannot participate in internal negotiations.

An authorized employee can make a price proposal and negotiate in the same way as an external carrier.

  1. After receiving the notification of the price proposal, go to the offer details.
  2. In the Negotiations tab you will find the price proposals. You can accept, reject or negotiate them further.

After accepting the internal offer:

  • the transaction is concluded on the platform,
  • a formal transport order is not generated,
  • it is not possible to issue a rating,
  • micropayments between branches are not required.

Taking over negotiations

If the person conducting the negotiations is unavailable, another employee can replace them in the negotiations.

  1. Go to the Freights module, in the Added tab find the published offer whose negotiations you want to take over.
  2. Select Negotiations and Other negotiations.
  3. Click Take over negotiations.
  4. In the action confirmation window, you can decide whether you want to take over the negotiations only or also exclude a colleague from further negotiations.
