Booking deadlines – Carriers

Updated 55 minutes ago by Marta

If a shipper sets a booking deadline, it applies to every carrier booking a slot at that warehouse.

In this article, you'll learn:

  • what the booking deadline is,
  • how to enable the booking deadline display on the time slot list,
  • how booking works when a booking deadline is in place.

What is the booking deadline

A shipper can set a booking deadline for their warehouse. It defines how far in advance you must book a time slot, or make changes to an existing booking.

The booking deadline can be set:

  • Relative to the booking deadline – time counted before the given time window,
  • Relative to the previous day – a specific time set for the day before the operation.

Each of the shipper's warehouses can have a different booking deadline, but within a single warehouse it applies equally to all time slots.

How to enable the booking deadline display on the time slot list

  1. In the Bookings module, go to the Time slots tab.
  2. In the time slot list, click More (⋮) and check Booking deadline. The deadline will appear at the top, visible in the table alongside all your time slots.
  3. Any change to the booking deadline is marked with a yellow warning triangle.

How booking with a booking deadline works

  1. In the Bookings module, go to the Time slots tab.
  2. Select the time slot you want to book. You'll find the booking deadline information here.
  3. When booking, only the dates that meet the shipper's requirements will be available.
  4. If the booking deadline has already passed, you'll see a message stating that no dates are available and the booking can't be made.

When consolidating time slots, booking may not be possible if one of the loads has passed its booking deadline.
