Limiting cooperation with contractors

Updated 1 hour ago by Katarzyna

Who can use this feature?

The feature is available to users of the Trans for Forwarders (TFF) and CargoON product lines who have access to the Contractors module.

In this article you will learn:

  • when and how to suspend cooperation with a contractor,
  • how to remove a company from the list of contractors and how it differs from suspending cooperation,

The Contractors module allows you not only to build a stable database of companies, but also to safely limit cooperation, for example when problems with payments, documents or partner credibility arise. In the module you can:

  • temporarily suspend cooperation,
  • continue working with a company that has been blocked by Trans.eu,
  • remove a contractor from the list - when you want to definitively end the relationship.
All actions that actually limit cooperation (suspension, removal) are available only to users with the Manage contractor status permission.

Suspension of cooperation

Suspension of cooperation is the mildest form of limiting relationships. The company remains on your list of contractors, but the system treats it as a partner with whom - until further notice - you cannot or do not want to carry out new orders.

Suspension of cooperation may be related to seasonality, change of logistics strategy, non-compliance with transport arrangements, lack of documentation or communication problems.

To suspend cooperation:

  1. Go to the Contractors module.
  2. Find the company (by name, VAT number or Contractor filter in the Status column).
  3. Click the three-dot icon - in the company window or in its row - to display the Suspend cooperation option.
  1. Click Suspend cooperation.
  2. In the newly opened window, select the reason for suspending cooperation from the list and confirm your choice.
After suspending cooperation with a given company:
- the company will remain on the list (because you are connected by a stock exchange relationship), but the Status column will show the suspension of cooperation,
- you can still have a conversation with contact persons in the messenger,
- offers from this company will be hidden on the exchange; you can see them after using the Show hidden filter, and each of them will be highlighted in red,
- it will not be possible to conclude transactions on the Trans.eu exchange,
- the company will not receive any inquiries (this applies to, among others, fixed routes, groups and recommendations),
- cooperation can be resumed by any user of your company with appropriate permissions.

Removing companies from the list of contractors

Deletion allows you to end cooperation and organize the database. The function is available only to users with the Manage contractor status permission.

Go to the Contractors module.

  1. Find the company you want to remove.
  2. Open the company drawer (by clicking on the row) or use the actions available from the list.
  3. Select Remove from contractors.
After removing the company from the list of contractors:
- the company ceases to be a contractor
- the company remains on the list if you are connected by another stock exchange relationship, with the Add to contractors button,
- the history of cooperation does not disappear - cooperation statistics, seniority and previous activities remain available in the system.
