View road restrictions and postcodes on the map

Who can use this feature?

The feature is available to all users of the Trans.eu Platform and CargoON.

In this article you will learn:

  • how to enable road restrictions on the map,
  • how to check restrictions on a planned route,
  • what the most important road signs mean,
  • how to display postal codes on the map.

In the Maps module, you can check road restrictions along a route (e.g. weight limits, bridge height limits). This makes it easier to plan a safe and optimal route for your vehicle.

How to enable restrictions?

  1. Select Maps from the menu on the left.
  2. In the upper right corner, enable the Road restrictions option.
  3. Zoom in or out using + / - (maximum zoom approx. 30 m).
  4. Click on a selected restriction to display it on the map.

How to check restrictions on a planned route?

  1. Enter the route points.
  2. Select the vehicle profile.
  3. Choose the route.
  4. You will see the applicable restrictions on the map.

Map markings

The most important signs:

  • Sign B-18 – no entry for vehicles with a gross weight exceeding the indicated value (e.g. 7 t).

  • Sign B-5 – No entry for trucks means prohibition of movement for:

1) trucks with a maximum gross weight exceeding 3.5 t

2) road tractors

3) special vehicles and vehicles used for special purposes with a maximum gross weight exceeding 3.5 t

4) agricultural tractors

5) slow-moving vehicles

  • Sign B-16 – no entry for vehicles higher than the indicated value (e.g. 3.5 m).

  • Sign B-15 – no entry for vehicles wider than the indicated value (e.g. 2.4 m).

  • Sign B-17 – no entry for vehicles longer than the indicated value (e.g. 7 m).

  • Sign B-13a – no entry for vehicles carrying dangerous goods (ADR).

Postal codes on the map

To display postal codes:

  1. Go to the Maps module.
  2. Select the Postal codes option.

Postal codes will appear directly on the map.
