Booking deadlines – Shippers

Updated 1 hour ago by Marta

Available for CargoON and TFF product line users with access to Dock Scheduler and the Schedules module.

In this article, you'll learn:

  • how to set a booking deadline,
  • how booking deadlines work.

Booking deadlines let you define how far in advance a carrier must book a time slot or can make changes to an existing booking. This helps you avoid last-minute bookings and plan warehouse work more effectively.

How to set booking deadlines

  1. In the Schedules module, expand More and select Warehouse settings.
  2. Go to the Booking handling process.
  3. Turn on Set booking deadline.
  4. Specify how the booking deadline is calculated. You have two options:
  • Relative to the booking deadline – calculated before the given time window,
  • Relative to the previous day – a specific time set for the day before the operation.
  1. Click Save.

How the booking deadline works

When booking, the carrier will only see time slots that meet the booking deadline set for that warehouse.

If you're booking on behalf of the carrier, all time slots are available to you – this restriction doesn't apply to you.

The setting applies to the entire warehouse and all time slots, regardless of the user. Any change to the booking deadline affects time slots that were already added.
