Micropayment billing

Updated 1 week ago by Krzysztof

Micropayments are small fees charged for some off-exchange functionalities of the Trans.eu Platform.

How does it work?

If you conclude transactions on the exchange (just as before), no additional amount will be charged. However, if you accept, e.g. an offer sent by the SmartMatch algorithm, then we will add a small fee to the invoice for the successful transaction.

Micropayment charging rules

No Touch Load

A fee for accepted freight which was published within Fixed Routes.

  1. Charged only to the shipper, when a freight offer is accepted by the carrier.
  2. By publishing an offer within a Fixed Route, the shipper can decide who will pay a fee for an accepted freight (the slider / split rule, i.e. split of payment, will apply).

Depending on the shipper's decision:

  • the entire fee is paid by the shipper
  • the fee is split equally between the shipper and the carrier
  • the entire fee is paid by the shipper

Best Carrier Load

The fee applies to:

  • acceptance of private freight offers published to groups of carriers

The fee is charged:

  •  to the carrier (or forwarder) who accepted a private freight offer
  •  when the shipper accepts the carrier's (or forwarder's) offer to execute an order.
Smart Match Load

The fee is charged for:

  • acceptance of a freight offer published with the use of the SmartMatch algorithm

The fee is charged to:

  • to the carrier (or forwarder) who accepted a freight offer and was recommended by the SmartMatch algorithm
  • when the shipper accepts the carrier's (or forwarder's) offer to execute an order.
Load monitoring

A fee for permission to track a load by the Orderer (within available tools).

The fee is charged to the Orderer of monitoring.

Rules of charging the fee:

  • it is charged at the moment of completing a monitoring task
  • concerns monitoring tasks in which the actual signals sent from telematics or TransTask mobile application were registered
  • if a monitoring task is primarily assigned by the shipper, and then the offer was subcontracted by the forwarder, the fee is charged only to the shipper, i.e. an initiator of the monitoring task.

The fee also applies to:

  • monitoring tasks issued at the carrier's request (for the freight offer commissioned by the orderer)
  • monitoring tasks in which the orderer and the contractor are one company

Discounts on micropayments

We have prepared a special discount policy for companies using additional functionalities of the Trans.eu Platform. It is based on the intensity of your company's activities on the Platform.

  • Discounts on particular types of transactions can be found in the Discount column. Click a given row to check the details of the transaction that they refer to.
  • Discounts are included in the summary of a given billing period. A new, lower price is marked in green.
Example:
You are a forwarder who accepted a private freight offer. According to the price list, the Best Carrier Load fee was charged. Thanks to the granted consent for monitoring of freight (LMC Discount) and realization of the forwarding chain entirely on the Platform (FFF Discount), we will calculate discounts to automatically reduce the amount of micropayments in a given billing period.

Current discounts can be found in our price list, in the 'Discounts on micropayments' section.

Types of discounts

LMC Discount - Load Monitoring Carrier

A discount for the carrier and forwarder for granting the consent and sharing monitoring within Load Monitoring at the orderer's request.

Rules of calculating the discount:

  • Calculated when the carrier or forwarder has accepted the freight which the monitoring task refers to
  • Reduces No touch Load, Best Carrier Load and SmartMatch Load micropayments calculated in a given billing period
  • Does not apply to sharing monitoring via TransTask mobile application
  • If in a given billing period micropayments amount to 0 PLN, the discount is not paid or used in any other way.

FFF Discount - Full Flow Forwarder

Rules of calculating the discount:

  • Applies to forwarding companies
  • Reduced freight acceptance fees calculated in a given billing period, when the freight realized in the forwarding chain is entirely handled on the Platform: from accepting freight from the shipper or forwarder, through publication of the freight (within a private offer or SmartMatch) to acceptance of this freight by the carrier or forwarder.

TMV Discount - Total Monthly Volume

A monthly discount on the total sum of payments calculated in a given billing period.

Rules of calculating the discount:

  • Calculated once in a given billing period, when generating an invoice
  • Calculated automatically with the use of the logarithmic function
  • The discount will be given while issuing an invoice, however, it won't be visible in a micropayment billing.

Micropayment billing information

Micropayment billing is presented in the form of a table, which contains the following columns:

  1. Transaction date - information on when a transaction was made with a contractor
  2. Transaction type - shows what a particular micropayment is calculated for (list of particular micropayments can be found here)
  3. Loading - place of loading for a given offer
  4. Unloading - place of unloading for a given offer
  5. Company - company with which a transaction was concluded
  6. Transaction value - accepted rate for transport
  7. Charged fee - amount of fees charged
  1. Split (the slider rule) - concerns a part of the fee that your company pays for No-Touch operation

When publishing an offer of a Fixed Route, the shipper can decide who will pay a fee for the accepted freight (the slider / split rule, i.e. possible split of payment, will apply).

Then, depending on the shipper's decision:

  • the entire fee is paid by the shipper
  • half of the fee is paid by the shipper and the other half by the carrier
  • the entire fee is paid by the carrier
  1. Discount - information about the discount granted

The discount will be calculated after issuing an invoice.

  • Lower price for a given type of transaction is highlighted with a green colour next to a given type of transaction.
  • Total discounts on all types of transactions is visible on the right side of the list.
