What is the messenger bar for?
This is a new feature of the Trans.eu Platform that makes it easier to provide and manage multiple chats at the same time. When you open another chat windows, their thumbnails appear on the bar at the bottom of the screen. You will also see what context they relate to.
Next to the thumbnails, no matter how many conversations you have, the conversation management icon appears.
The chat management icon is very useful in at least 2 situations:
- When you want to close all windows on the messenger bar simultaneously.
- When you have a lot of conversations at the same time and want to transparently find out about new replies from your contacts. The messenger bar is agile and adapts to the resolution of your computer screen. If there are too many conversations to be properly visible on the bar - a convenient list will be created.
The messenger bar will inform you about new messages in ongoing conversations.
- If the conversation thumbnail is in the visible part of the bar, the person's avatar will turn blue.
- If a conversation is pinned to the list, both the conversation management icon and the conversation line in the list will light up in blue. You'll also see a snippet of the last message in the conversation list.
You can decide how to display information about the latest messages, and from which side new chat windows will appear. For this purpose:
- click on your avatar in the upper right corner of the screen
- go to the settings tab
- select "Messenger".
